Flight search: a step-by-step guide
How do you search flights on Find & Fly? We explain the feature in a detailed guide, show you your options, and advise you on what to be mindful of when entering data.
The flight search tool is perfect for:
- Finding the best match to your criteria from thousands of options
- Comparing all available charter and scheduled flight options
- Getting instant price estimations for group flights
And you will have the answers to the following questions in an instant:
- How many flight options are there?
- Which option is the best value?
- Which option is the fastest?
- Which option is available as a non-stop flight?
- What is the earliest travel time?
- What is the latest travel time?
Start your search
Off we go! First enter the flight data.
Step 1: Decide whether you want to search for either a return or one-way flight. You can always change this option later on in the search.
Step 2: Enter your departure airport. Either enter the airport’s city (e.g. Cologne) or the three-letter IATA airport code (e.g. CGN).
Step 3: Enter your flight destination. Either enter the airport’s city (e.g. Barcelona) or the three-letter IATA airport code (e.g. BCN).
Step 4: Enter the number of passengers taking the flight. Please note that we only offer group flights of 10 passengers or more. Please use our Private Jet Pricing tool for price estimations for smaller groups.
Step 5: Enter the required flight dates. If you receive an error message after confirming, either the dates are in the past or you have selected outbound and return flights, but only entered one of the two dates. Please correct your input. Step 6: Click on the search button to start your flight search.
Keeping an overview
Note A: Click Show/Hide to view a comparison chart for charter flights vs. scheduled flights. This provides an overview of length of stay, travel distance, how many charter or scheduled flight solutions have been found, what the shortest travel times are, whether there is a non-stop option, what the cheapest price is and what the earliest/latest departure times are.
Note B: Here you will see the total number of possible flight solutions.
Note C: Click on 'Price info' to find out why individual and group fares differ, and the factors used to calculate charter fares.
